Great Smoky Mountains National Park – the most visited in the National Park System. The Park has over 500,000 acres, 800 miles of hiking trails and 10 campgrounds.

Hemlock Trees – some of the largest and most common trees in the Smoky Mountains. They can grow to be more than 150 feet tall. The needles are short, dark green and have a unique woodsy smell.

Honeysuckle – a cream and pink fragrant flower that has a fruity and vanilla smell and a sweet taste.

Mischievous – a playful way of causing trouble

Mt. LeConte – a mountain located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is the third highest peak in the national park at 6,593 feet.

Nibbles – small bites

Otter (River) – have short, shiny fur, and a long-pointed tail. They weigh 10 - 33 pounds.

Otter (Sea) – have long, fuzzy fur, and a tail is short and flat. They are three times larger than river otters

Peak – pointed mountain top

Senses – ways the body experiences something (The 5 senses are sight, smell, hearing, touch, taste)

Squirmed - wiggle

Trout – freshwater fish found in streams in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Unique – one of a kind

Upstream – the opposite direction from which water is flowing

Vast – very great in size.
